Hannah’s Gift

And (Jesus) said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

Hannah was so excited to hear that missionaries were coming to speak at Vacation Bible School. She couldn’t wait to talk to them and hear their stories about God’s work. The thought of helping out missions was so exciting to her; she wanted to do whatever she could.

Hannah is a young girl, what can she possibly do? She knew what she could do. She listened to what the Bible says about missions. She heard all the familiar verses about spreading the Gospel News to every land. We have all heard them before, too.

Hannah emptied her piggy bank and gave all her money to missions. No one had to tell her what to do. In fact, no one could stop her! Hannah is going on a journey to West Africa. God’s love is in Hannah’s heart.

What if Later Never Comes?

“I will do it later, I will do it some other time, I don’t want to do it now…” We have all used statements like these when we are faced with doing something that we are unsure of or, maybe a little afraid of. We convince ourselves that “there is nothing I can do.”

It is estimated that there are 80,000 people in these mountains in West Africa that have not yet heard about the Good News of Salvation. How are they to hear unless someone preaches to them?

What would our lives be like if we didn’t know Jesus? Who would we turn to in times of pain, agony, trials, temptations…? How these people must be suffering because they don’t know the love of Jesus!

Jesus tells us in John 9:4: “As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.” Prayerfully consider how you can journey to West Africa with us.

What if later never comes for these people?

Prayers

For the people of Ghana and West Africa.
